SEBI Consultation Paper – Review of KYC Process for Individual PROI Clients

SEBI has issued a Consultation Paper on the review of the KYC process for individual Persons Resident Outside India (PROI) clients, with the objective of simplifying the existing onboarding process and facilitating seamless digital onboarding in the securities market. The proposal takes into consideration various modes available to investors during digital onboarding and includes a draft circular on the proposed revised KYC framework. Stakeholders may submit their comments or suggestions to SEBI latest by September 04, 2026.
